Toy Story 5 didn’t have the high snark & sheer comedy of the previous 4, instead it was weirdly maudlin & at times very sad. The franchise had aged & become tired + flabby, like Woody, like you… Once more around the block with the old memories, Buzz Lightyear’s stickers yellowed & peeling.

We surprised the weans by taking them to see Toy Story 5 earlier. Their wee faces when they realised what they were there to see and that we’d snuck Buzz, Woody and Jessie into the bag of goodies was very wholesome indeed. 😌 Heartwarming as always from Pixar.
