Organizers of a Disability Pride Month book bundle posted that their 33-book bundle on itch.io was about 1.5 sales shy of its fundraising target, offering the 33 books for 33 dollars. Community reading lists and features are accompanying Disability Pride Month this July: the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses published a curated reading list for 2026, and an exclusive article highlighted eight books for young readers that center disabled characters. Public observances are ongoing: California Governor Gavin Newsom proclaimed July as Disability Pride Month, marking the Americans with Disabilities Act anniversary on July 26, 1990, and Bay Area Rapid Transit noted that more than 7 percent of riders have a disability while promoting historical coverage such as Harold Willson’s advocacy for accessible trains. Several social posts promoted related bundles and events, including another bundle described as 25 books for 25 dollars with one day left to buy. Organizers and publishers continue to run sales, reading lists, and workshops through the month to raise funds and spotlight disabled authors and creators.
