Nonbinary Coded Games, a Steam festival running July 13 to July 20 for International Nonbinary People's Day, went live showcasing more than 150 games made by developers who are nonbinary, genderqueer, or outside the gender binary. Organizers promoted the event as the first nonbinary-dev led game festival on Steam and invited players to browse demos, sales, and featured bundles. Titles called out by participants include Blanksword's Demo, dirtbag MAHJONG, Beatdown City Survivors, The Unlife of Gorlak, Soulblaze, Dungeon Bodega Simulator, If It Please the Court, DEVIL'S LIMINAL, Nekomancer of Nowhere, Mixolumia, Star Apprentice, and Gas Station Story. Some teams highlighted specific representation: the current team on lunr.rdio.taxi identified as 100 percent trans and Dungeon Bodega Simulator noted both its lead developer and main character are nonbinary. Developers and streamers scheduled livestreams, giveaways, and weeklong discounts tied to the festival, and several creators urged players to wishlist, try demos, or pick up featured sales during the July 13 to July 20 window.
