The one complaint I hear about #XMen97 season 2 is that they’re speed running through storylines. Ok, true, but as someone who read the comics back then and watched these stories unfold with the urgency of dripping molasses (it took Logan 6 YEARS to get his metal back!) I find this approach humane.

This issue has everything: Psychosexual melodrama. The focused totality of Magneto's sensual powers. Amelia Voght. The Master of Magnetism for Armani. Charles Xavier getting slapped in the face. Shoulder pads. The only problem is you could never pack all this into just one episode of X-Men '97.

Uncanny 346 would have made for such a great episode of X-Men ‘97 last season. The comic was written and drawn as if it was an issue of Spider-Man, and the show could have totally copied that by using the Spider-Man animated theme song and opening sequence. Didn’t happen, unfortunately.
