Truth Social launches 'Truth API' to sell faster access to posts

Truth Social owner Trump Media & Technology Group announced a paid data feed called Truth API that will give institutional customers real-time access to posts from the platform’s top 10 accounts beginning August 1. The company said the feed will deliver posts “in milliseconds” to customers, targeting high-frequency and algorithmic traders who prize low-latency signals, and said the product will add a high-margin, recurring revenue stream. Truth Social said there is no public pricing yet and that scraping the site violates its terms of service. CNN noted President Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts have moved markets, citing his messages about Iran and the Strait of Hormuz and his 2025 tariff announcements that first pushed stocks down and then back up. A CNN investigation also found Trump promoted more than 20 companies on Truth Social days after buying their shares. Trump owns about 41 percent of TMTG through a revocable trust, and CNN said it is uncertain how the new service will affect the value of his holdings; the company’s stock was up 0.6 percent the day of the announcement but down about 27 percent year to date. The product is set to go live August 1, potentially giving algorithmic trading desks a millisecond advantage on market-moving posts.
