Final Fantasy X, 25th anniversary
happy birthday to me 👵🎂 AND happy birthday to final fantasy x 💖
this comic is a redux of one from a few years ago, i have to update as i slowly overtake all the grizzled FF old men
I feel very fortunate to share a birthday with my favorite final fantasy 🥰 fun fact tho: I have the same exact birthday as FFIV 🎊 (which I haven’t played)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADDIE you're now the same age as Tanker Chapter Snake
Happy birthday! Also, I always love discovering the ages of Japanese media characters. Challia Bull in the original Gundam was 30 and looked like a retired middle school principal (before he got a redesign). Thank God genetic RNG luck and moisturizer keeps people thinking I’m only 30 at nearly 39.
AH HA HA HA HA HA HAppy birthday!
Happy birthday! No way he was 35 in that game. Guess being a Guardian during and Post-Sin must've been extremely stressful.
Me as a teen playing FFX: "It's ridiculous for Auron to be treated like a burned out old man. He's only thirty-five." Me at thirty-five: "My bones feel too sore today. I think I'll just stay in bed."
I do love Final Fantasy but yeah the ages of characters are ridiculous. But that happens everywhere in anime too. You can’t tell me Jotaro Kujo is under 18 and have me take your portrayal of ages seriously.
I love telling people this fact and watching them go "no... what?" and then go "oh, right that's ancient in anime" and then telling them about the original premise of FFX being a world where everyone dies at like 18, so being 35 WOULD appear ancient.
Auron, the most 45 looking 35 out there.
As someone in that age range, I can remember when The Grand List of Console Role Playing Game Clichés was brand new.
The veteran in me felt that...
I'm going to be like Auron next year. XD
this means Tidus is 42 now
It will never not be funny to me how Nomura made this badass grandpa and then went "alright I gotta make him really old, what's an old number" and he picked THIRTY-FIVE
Being about Auron’s age now. I feel like how he looks at least.
Happy 25th Anniversary FFX 🌊 my forever girl 💖 #art #finalfantasy #ffx
yuna 😭 the colors on this are so beautiful!
the girl of all time 🥹💖 i have got to get a print of this from you at gwf!!! i thought i already had one but it turned out to be your older yuna print from a while ago LMAO
aaaaa this is so gorgeous 😭 the way you drew her face is just like the cg version!!! love all the colours too!!
A love that lasts twenty-five years. That kind of constancy is rare.
Happy 25th Birthday Final Fantasy X! Your world, design, characters, and story still resonate and inspire a quarter century later ❤️ "Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain, or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!"
Excited to start it soon!
Hooo, that's a good Tidus! And jeeze, I need to get back to my playthrough (and hit the blitzball mines)
Oh this is so good!!! Good boi Tidus! (also realizing FFX is 25 years old now... >.>) XD
Awwww lovly Titus Art 😍
Probably my favorite FF next to 9. Really good world, characters, and themes.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA... sorry . I will get me coat
My oil painting of Final Fantasy X Yuna & Tidus #finalfantasy #finalfantasyx
YOO amazing creation, with oils too?? Very impressive! 💚 I do acrylic and pencil for now but ...maaayyybe someday, oils seem intimidating!
This is so fucking cool
This silly scene means a lot to me. Genuinely incredible work recreating it 💜
Not one but TWO Final Fantasy anniversaries popped today in Japan, the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X (PS2) and the 35th since the release of IV (Super Famicom). Both represent new console generation leaps for the series, with FFX having a particularly special place in my heart. 💜
With our copy of FFX, there's a neat behind the scene DVD with some neat interviews. In one of the segments, Yoshinori Kitase lays down how he wanted to challenge perceptions of what exactly a 'fantasy' RPG could be, one not necessarily drawing from Western roots.
I remember a early PS2 UK magazine write up of Final Fantasy X boosting that the rock song at the start of the game was forcing the series to come kicking and screaming in to the modern era. Such a weird way of writing about that. Same magazine that said no-one would find Silent Hill 2 rememberable.
Im currently enjoying playing through FF10 for the 1st time! I have just arrived at the Calm Lands for the first time & generally really enjoying the story and gameplay so far. <3 it's fasinating getting into this game on its 10th anniversary. I leave the blitzball matches to @niko-pup.bsky.social
I just crumbled to dust upon learning that FFX was released 25 years ago
Final Fantasy X was my first FF and will always be my favorite🥹 Happy 25 years to my GOAT & thank you to everyone who's cosplayed with me as Rikku & my partner Raph as Wakka over the years 🥰 I'll continue to alter our cosplays to fit our aging bodies for as long as possible 😭🙏 #FFX #FinalFantasyX

Happy 25 years to my absolute favorite game of all time ✨🌊 F i n a l F a n t a s y X 🌊 ✨ @square-enix-games.com
Of all the games I've ever played, this is my absolute favorite. If I could pick one game to play for the very first time again it would be FFX.
My introduction to the Final Fantasy series~
I played 10 after 13 and I do think it’s one of the best in the series.
An undeniable GOAT. Got any favorite moments in particular from the game?
I remember getting so sad as I realized we were passing all those graves on Mt. Gagazet, such a great game.
Final Fantasy X turns 25 tonight in Japan 🥲 Still the best Final Fantasy game and the best JRPG ever made, period. And it's not close.
Feels like whatever Final Fantasy you grew up with will be the one you consider the best. Mine was FFVI, a friend of mine who’s younger than me says FFIX, and a lot of Gen Z’s recently are saying FFXIII is their favorite.
X was the first game I felt "I want to play but I can't because I don't have the console it's on" It was the first game I ever bought when I got my PS2 years later with grownup money
I mean, its good , but its no FF8!
"And it's not close." I don't know if that's more funny than sad. You haven't even played all the FF games, let alone all the JRPGs. Some opinions are worth much less than others.
Umm...Argue? (Sorry, spoilers),Titus being dead the whole time...like, literally pissed me off. X-2 showed Yuna ...trying...to bring him back. They built a connection that could never be realistic. I loved the game, but hated that plot hook
i had the guidebook too on my ps2 :') have bought the hd remaster on every platform i own since
