Final Fantasy X, 25th anniversary

Final Fantasy X hit its 25th anniversary on July 19, a milestone Square Enix marked with a special interview featuring Takashi Tokita and Yoshinori and fans answered with personal remembrances and tributes. Conversations and posts dwell on Yuna and Tidus as the emotional center, on the goosebump-inducing To Zanarkand moment and Yunalesca boss fight, and on how the game introduced voice acting and memorable translations that shaped players' experiences. Longtime fans resurfaced older pieces and oil paintings, shared cosplay memories of Rikku and Wakka, and debated whether the game needs a remake or a new sequel like X-3. Performers noted how hearing Suteki da ne live still moves audiences, underscoring the anniversary as a day of gratitude and storytelling rather than commerce.
