Season 3 finale of The Vampire Lestat, Episode 7 "The Failures," closes with a shocking double beheading of Lestat and Louis after Armand and Molloy carry out a violent confrontation in Montreal. Sam Reid’s Lestat is shown in a mind palace reckoning with two centuries of sins while Jacob Anderson’s Louis wakes to find his still conscious head mounted on a pike facing his beheaded torso. Showrunner Rolin Jones says the season intentionally built to these parallel confessionals, bringing Lestat and Louis’ journeys together and allowing the series to lean into darker horror beats for at least half the finale. Jones describes Armand’s revelation as the season’s twist and says the production worked hard to conceal Assad Zaman’s stealthy machinations until the moment of reveal, forcing viewers to rewatch scenes to spot his presence. Louis’ confrontation with Armand and Regina prompts a rare moment of accountability and amends for his past behavior, according to Jones. Jones also teases that the finale contains hidden meanings and seeds for future chapters, setting the stage for destructive consequences to come in the next installment.

I have to start the series from the beginning to catch up but when I saw/heard that Lestat was doing legit band stuff I had to see how they adapted it, it's my favorite of the chronicle novels and the note that it goes out on is so amazing in the book, I've been waiting for justice to this story

My humble suggestion is that after you finish watching The Vampire Lestat finale you go back and watch the entire season again, because the whole thing was so intricately constructed you won’t see how much of the finale was laid out through the previous six episodes until a second viewing.
