Tennessee charges homeless man under felony camping law
1.Privatize Prisons. Allow prisons to rent out inmates as dirt cheap labor 2.Keep wages low, prices high and let private equity buy homes. Bam, affordable housing crisis 3.Remove social safety nets and Make homelessness a crime 4.Congrats! you have a new slave system www.npr.org/2026/07/21/n...
This is also why they want to open up state homes for the disabled again. Drug addicts/soldiers with PTSD/mentally ill people without support are often unhoused and get shuffled around because they need special help the gov doesn't want to pay for. Stick em in an institution Outta sight outta mind
Not just a crime, a felony. And guess who can't vote?
Read the article, super glad the charges were dropped and he was able to walk free. But holy shit, this is so sad to read bc me and everyone else ik in TN are 2 checks away from homeless :/
reminds me of this: www.youtube.com/shorts/P_eLH... it looks/sound/feels like slavery, but oh no, we've defined it as something else. They think is easier to control the language than to admit their actions.
I have the impression that several states never stopped doing any of these
