Red Sox tie franchise record with 15th straight win
THE RED SOX 15 IN A ROW TIED WITH 1946 FOR THE LONGEST WIN STREAK IN FRANCHISE HISTORY
this is disgusting to me
#RedSox 6, #Orioles 3, final. That's 15 in a row for the Sox, tying the franchise record first set in 1946. They have won 20 of 22 and 23 of 28 to improve to 52-48. They have not lost since July 1. Game 2 is at 7:10.
Good times. I heard that they never felt so good.
This has to be the longest winning streak ever for a team that was 10 games below .500.
This reminds me of my first season following the Sox: 1988 - Morgan's Miracle
And in winning the last 20 of 22 they swept 3 of the 4 teams still ahead of them in the American League overall standings: Rays, Yankees and White Sox. The streak has been built vs. quality opponents.
I figure we probably finally see Bello tonight. Moran and Weissert likely. Do you think Whitlock, Chapman or Guerrero are available? Normally, I’d think no, but I imagine the players really want this. Seems like a lot of pressure for Rivera.
