Pete Hegseth says Iran war has cost $37.5 billion as Pentagon seeks more

OSSOFF: I don't think there is bipartisan support to give Pete Hegseth additional slush fund money for misadventures overseas and this administration's failed foreign policy. And his testimony yesterday lacked credibility and was not persuasive to anybody.

Today would be a good day for Trump to fire Pete Hegseth and replace him with someone competent. Every American, and every soldier we have deployed abroad, would be safer for it.

When Trump makes statements about the war, they are full of wishful thinking, hyperbole, and outright lies. They have failed to level with Congress and the American people about the cost of the war in treasure and blood. And the media has not held them to account for this. That needs to change, now.
