San Diego Comic-Con 2026 opened with Preview Night on Wednesday, July 22, from 6 to 9 p.m., kicking off a four-day run from Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26. Hasbro held a booth preview night with early looks and photos of new product lines, including recognizable Star Wars and Legend of Zelda items and Transformers displays. Dark Horse Comics published a schedule of creator appearances and is handing out free items such as comics and posters at its events. Organizers and exhibitors advertised panels, signings, and meet-and-greets across the convention; authors Peter Clines, Jendi Agammon, and Scott Sigler are scheduled for a signing Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m. in room AA06, and other panels include sessions on adapting works across media. Small press and independent creators are present on the floor, with at least one exhibitor in Small Press booth N-07 under Lab Reject Studios and multiple booths promoting freebies and early-access items. Expect the convention to continue with panel programming, exhibitor activations, and booth-specific preview events through Sunday.
