Cirkus5So maybe I'm not understanding this but... If I own the game, why would I need to stream it? If I own it, why am I being interrupted by ads? Are they taking away the ability to download a game and saying that anything owned has to be streamed now? This makes no sense and is fucking horrid.
Well... Xbox insider can now stream games they own for free via an "Ad- supported Game Streaming Test & Learn" program. They show ads before the sessions beginn, gameplay stays unchanged. news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/0...
Knoebel11Why I believe this sucks: Bc we will end up in the same situation as always. Small spike of growth, new flat period, need to squeeze out more bucks out of existing customers, doubling ads or adding ads to already paying users and "hey for only $2.99 you can remove all ads!". The Prime way.
