Today’s Bird of the Day theme is OneTwoThreeFour, a four-photo challenge showing the same bird or birds with one, two, three, and four individuals in each shot. Contributors are posting everything from garden robins for the alternate ForJanet prompt to coastal seabirds and wetland scenes, emphasizing matched sequences and counting. Examples in the gallery include rooks photographed in Co. Galway, Atlantic puffins taken on the Isle of May National Nature Reserve, and an American robin feeding on toyon berries. Look for matching 1, 2, 3, 4 sets such as single great crested grebes then pairs of kingfishers and groups of sanderlings, plus backyard sequences like northern mockingbird siblings and mallard ducklings.
