Mike Flanagan’s Carrie series gets trailer, premieres Oct 7 on Prime Video
She just wanted a friend. All episodes of Carrie, a new series from Mike Flanagan, premiere October 7 on Prime Video. Based on Stephen King's classic novel.
Just Carrie again in the exact same way it has been done before but i guess this time we have social media and phones, that really changes the message, right?
…this is the fourth version of the story, not counting the pseudo sequel. Why do we need this?
honestly don’t understand the constant desire to adapt this
King described Carrie as a "chunky girl with pimples on her neck and back and buttocks," and a "frog among swans." I'm not seeing much of that here, and that takes away so much from the character of Carrie. I'll reserve judgement, but I'd like'd to have seen some of that here.
Not production stills anymore and still looks as flat as it could ever look...
imagine not giving mike flanagan the benefit of the doubt
I genuinely can’t think of a more doomed-sounding project than trying to adapt Doctor Sleep while keeping both the movie fans and Stephen King happy and he pulled it off completely. No one has earned the benefit of the doubt more.
good enough for Earl Weaver
Some people wanna hate him so bad when all he does is deliver
What if "Carrie," but slightly mousy? Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that Mike Flanagan has earned some wait-and-see faith, I would say this trailer makes "Carrie" look somewhere between "generic and unremarkable" and "dismal."
I just want to know how many adaptions of "Carrie" we're going to get until Hollywood producers are satisfied
I think it looks great. I’m excited. I may be watching it alone though. My boyfriend thinks it’s n unnecessary reboot and isn’t interested.
They showed a few complete scenes scattered throughout panel. And yes, it’s Mike Flanagan. I felt potential for an interesting take.
