Martin John2King described Carrie as a "chunky girl with pimples on her neck and back and buttocks," and a "frog among swans." I'm not seeing much of that here, and that takes away so much from the character of Carrie. I'll reserve judgement, but I'd like'd to have seen some of that here.

What if "Carrie," but slightly mousy? Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that Mike Flanagan has earned some wait-and-see faith, I would say this trailer makes "Carrie" look somewhere between "generic and unremarkable" and "dismal."
