Corey Heim wins Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis

Corey Heim won the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was his second NASCAR Cup Series victory in just 15 starts. Heim became the first part-time driver since Davey Allison in 1987 to record multiple wins before his first full-time season. Heim set the Indianapolis track record for the NextGen car by 0.6 seconds during the event. Heim did not perform a burnout on the bricks and was quoted saying "I DONT GIVE A FUCK WHO WRITES MY CHECK" after the race. With two Cup wins in 2026, Heim has risen into the season win leaders and furthered conversation about his long-term prospects in the series.

At the risk of defending Carson Hocevar, he's younger, has fewer starts in an actual top tier race team, and fifth in points right now. I don't exactly think he'd be winning 2 of 15 starts at a Hendrick, though.
