Brutal news about Glen Hansard. Every once in a while I'll rewatch this opening scene to Once, which is obviously of a time, but is still awfully beautiful. Watched this at a little movie theatre and had no idea what it was about and was just blown away by the electricity of it. RIP.

Such a sad day for music today. We’ve lost Glen Hansard in a motorcycle crash, and also the incredible guitarist Ray Gomez, who I would occasionally talk with online. I told him how I had a cassette of his solo album ‘Volume’ that I wore out on tour in ‘80. He promptly sent me a photo and CD. RIP 🙏
BassReborn4Just seen this and it’s heartbreaking. Glen was the nicest, funniest guy you’d ever meet. We went busking in Prague it was Feb and -12 and he thought it was hilarious I thought I’d got frostbite. Many beers were consumed over the years all with joy and fun. Rest in Peace Ray and Glen 💔💔
