Samara Weaving cast as Emma Frost in Marvel X‑Men

Variety and Deadline report that Samara Weaving has been cast as Emma Frost in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot. Deadline and other outlets say the film is the MCU’s new X-Men project and list Jake Schreier as director. One article frames the hire as Marvel settling on its White Queen and identifies the movie as X-MEN (2028). An online post tracking casting says X-Men auditions began in May and that the search for Emma Frost was especially thorough. The same post said more casting announcements are expected soon.

Emma Frost is tricky adaptationally because (1) the vast amount of lore involved, (2) fundamentally kinky character in a notoriously unhorny cinematic universe and (3) homeschool mom. The MCU might be able to navigate one, *possibly* two of these. All three ...Godspeed, Feige.
