Digimon Day, DigiGirl Zine Vol. 4 publishes fan art

On Digimon Day, DigiGirl Zine Vol. 4 went live to coincide with Odaiba Memorial Day, arriving with over 200 entries and free access. Contributors leaned into nostalgia by spotlighting Renamon, Gatomon/Tailmon, and Guilmon as affectionate centerpiece characters. Several artists said they felt honored to be included and used their pages to revisit defining scenes and character moments, from playful summer-camp vibes to solemn, iconic poses. The release doubled as a collective celebration of longtime favorites and personal Digimon OCs revisited for the holiday.

Here's a doodle for Digimon Day today, woah!

It's a drawing of ExVeemon from the waist up taking a confident stance with his mouth open and teeth on display. The primarily blue Digimon has a strong rim light cast onto his right side by sun rays, some of which catches the edges of his white dragon wings extended behind him. There's also a bounce light from below that gives his torso a warm glow. The piece features sketch lines mixed with a range of blues and warmer greys painted in to give a lively feel to it. There may have also been some artistic liberties taken, as his form is what one might describe as beefy, with a pudgy belly that extends out of frame.

Gatomon / Tailmon is smiling at the viewer and putting a paw outward, some digital noise covering pieces of her. The background is highly saturated colors and abstract, with small cats, squares, and lines, reminiscent of the Digiworld from the Mamoru Hosoda Digimon movies. There are small pixelated versions of Gatomon referencing her Digivice virtual pet appearance.
