I watched Star Trek: TNG every day as a kid but I saw the resolution of like one out of every five episodes. It was on at 5 PM M-F and my mom usually got to my grandma's to pick us up at 5:45, so I never got to finish episodes (unless she had to stay late at work)

Also had an early look at the #StarTrek 60th Anniversary Special this morning. Really varied set of stories touching on a lot of different points in the franchise’s history. Definitely asking all the right questions about what Star Trek is and what it means to fans.

It’s funny that you say “a touch of Star Trek,” when Star Trek is a franchise that’s been known to change tone dramatically between series’ and even between episodes of the same series. I literally just got done watching a horror episode of Strange New Worlds, and some eps are straight up comedy.

So much of the worst of Star Trek came out of the last two season of ds9 (The pah wraiths, Section 31) because the writers seemed to be spinning their wheels and were bored.

Both "Masks" and "Phantasms" episodes of Star Trek involve Data and some very strange circumstances. I've always liked both episodes for their weirdness but most Trek fans seem to like Phantasms but not Masks.
