When people die and the media says they had “pre-existing conditions”… they’re pacifying the public. Anyone could die from Cyclosporiasis, but they want you to believe it can’t happen to you. It can only happen to the weak, the disabled, the elderly. The expendable people. Eugenics.

Kate9I’m 73. I got cyclospora 2 years ago from swimming in a local pond. Ain’t gonna lie: it was 6 AWFUL WEEKS. Once diagnosed - antibiotics cured quickly. Covid traumatized us all. But… this is not spread person to person, diagnosis should be quick and we have a readily available cure. TG 🙏

Unfortunately many people (ME) are allergic to sulfa drugs and the only way you find that out is when your tongue swells in your mouth and you break out in hives like I did
Sbooks13I think this gets nuanced in a way we do not want to say. Cycloporiasis is dangerous but typically do not kill those who are infected. I think in this case it is important to note that these individuals had comorbidities that increased the likelihood of death. Not being dismissive but nuanced.
