Sen. Ron Wyden report says major banks failed to flag Epstein transactions

newsAug 4, 2026256,966

Senator Ron Wyden’s 67-page report says Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America logged but did not timely report millions in suspicious transactions tied to Jeffrey Epstein. Wyden’s report alleges Deutsche Bank failed to promptly notify authorities about more than $250 million in transfers, including cash used to pay women in Russia and other Eastern European countries, and that the bank only informed U.S. officials retroactively after Epstein’s July 2019 arrest. The report says Bank of America recorded about $170 million in Epstein-related transactions connected to Leon Black and later judged those transfers to have "no apparent economic, business, or lawful purpose." The report reiterates prior reporting that JPMorgan processed more than $1 billion for Epstein despite internal concerns. Former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi interviewed Wyden in March for an investigation into Epstein’s banking ties that did not air after Alfonsi was fired in May; CBS News told Bloomberg the segment had not been finished and denied suppressing the story. CBS also told The New Republic it has continued reporting on Epstein and that allegations of deliberate suppression are false.

“A spokesperson for Wyden said the rule doesn't apply to Congress, and that the senator disclosed the information as part of his official duties.” That’s the way it’s done! The full report is here: www.finance.senate.gov/imo/media/do...

Read the entire thread. The team investigating Epstein have done the work. This hopefully will lead to hearings, indictments, prosecutions, and convictions. Thanks you @wyden.senate.gov and team.

"Because Democrats do not control the US Senate, Wyden’s ability to obtain documents or take witness statements has been limited," Think of what he could do with subpoena power. November is coming... 🙀

deutsche bank is a criminal enterprise and should be burnt to the ground, exhibit 9245300895.

How convenient that banks see crimes and then wait YEARS to raise the alarm. "B of A reported $170M in Epstein-related transactions connected to billionaire Leon Black, including some that the bank said had “no apparent economic, business or lawful purpose,” 5 to 7 years after they took place"

Jason kindly provides all the key findings of his Bloomberg article. He got Sen Ron Wyden's report on how major banks failed to file SARs on Epstein and Leon Black; Black denied wrongdoing. Read the thread please.

We already know the #FBI has the evidence because it was handed over to them directly. so tell us how they are not being prosecuted with this evidence Todd Blanche?

It's always Deutsche Bank, isn't it. 2008, Epstein, Trump - they have never seen a shady deal that they wouldn't finance.

Deutsche Bank seems to always be on the wrong side of things
