Spider‑Man: Brand New Day, early audience praise and fan reactions
A cinema hand-drew its own ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ poster after not receiving official ones 🕷️ The drawing featured Spodermen 😂 "Sorry for any inconviniences"
At least They didn't use AI lol
You know this was a Canadian theater because they said sorry twice
Also supporting my theory that no one who ever makes handmade signs can spell “inconvenience”
I need that spooder-man poster.
There is hope for humanity.
I like it. I'm available for a more realistic style, if needed. #Spiderman #Punisher #art #digitalart #digitalpainting
This > AI Any day.
Still better than if they used a.i
What “inconvenience?” This is objectively the greatest thing ever.
honestly though? the lineart is actually okay! like someone either looked at references or just knew Spider-Man enough to join the web pattern like that
As a graphic designer I’m obsessed with this. The return to crudely drawn art will always beat out AI bullshit!
That reminds me, this was my local theater when I went, for apparently no reason at all lol
A new Spider-Man movie just hit theaters. And it got me thinking: could Spider-Man afford to buy a home in New York City?
Canonically no. He's consistently between jobs as his responsibility being Spider-Man keeps Peter from living a consistent life. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk
Not sure anyone here has seen the movie. He takes an asbestos-filled, top floor apartment that was being used to store old building materials, and cleans it up. This is how you afford to live in a metropolis without much income.
Spider-Man, a famously financially stable superhero
There are a lot of homes being built in the Northeast. Luxury condos and massive mansions with 3 car garages and 6 bedrooms that cost millions. We could be putting three normal sized homes on one of these lots. Developers don't build homes for normal people anymore. GREED!
If corporations were prevented from snatching up all the homes with below market, no inspection cash offers, that would help even more. Every corporate-owned house or condo listed on AirBnB is a home real people can't purchase to live in.
Who are you talking to?
Mauler's Review of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is one of the worst, most deceptive pieces of review work ever. So I decided to do to it what Mauler has done to so many others: just watch what he says and say my thoughts as they come. What's he gonna do? React to me again?
I don't envy you for having to watch Mauler. The grifters are such idiots. First, X is going to fail because it's woke. Then, when X is astoundingly successful, X is bad. The goalposts have to constantly shift in order to let their audience of repulsive incels feel validated.
About as bad as Doug's incomprehensible, baffling review of Pink Floyd's The Wall, showing how illiterate these failsons are.
You think Mauler will be more pissed at this or to you directly comparing him to Lily Orchard (which is an incredibly damning statement on his quality as a critic)?
Oh for God’s sake! Another unbridled rage! This guy is constipated by his own anger and nitpicking! The fuckers have NO media literacy and no concept of critique!!!!
Quite the choice him targeting something that even his fellow grifters has liked.
With how much he lies & misrepresents what happens in that movie you'd think he had Shad write the script for him!
So having now watched this... holy shit. I couldn't resist popping over to his Twitter to see how this so-called critique was received, and I am honestly fucking baffled at how many plot points people missed, misunderstood, or are flat-out lying about.
Mauler again with his bullshit.
I wrote about my long history with Spider-Man, why the previous MCU Spider-Man movies fell short for me, and how Brand New Day reversed that trend by 1) telling a personal story I really connected to and 2) feeling like a real movie and not a marketing exercise pvguide.ghost.io/spider-man-b...
I loved how it wasn’t all about the suit this time—Iron Man’s gadgets overshadowed Spidey’s natural power in previous T.H. movies. Brand New Day was amazing! 🍿 🕸️
It really is something that I walked out of Brand New Day loving it because it feels like it had a script and people.
It was a wonderful experience.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day isn't just my favorite of the Holland movies, but it's a pretty high mark for the MCU, too. It really manages to create what feels like a lived-in comic book world. It's also effective at going for the emotions. They delivered the goods with this one.
All the actors are putting in good work, but I gotta say I loved seeing Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle on the big screen. He's a great Punisher.
After I saw it, I said it felt like a pilot for what all MCU films are going to feel like after Secret Wars. Everyone knows each other and keeps getting into each other’s shit.
I guess Ted Sarandos got jealous of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey making all the money in the world.
Either that or they want an Oscar
Don't forget other movies like The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Toy Story 5.
Yeah, I get the feeling that he looked into those movies, saw their success, and then said "wait, this practice would probably make money... I must get on this, right away!"
