Caleb Durbin hit a grand slam off Blue Jays pitcher Chase Lee in the top of the eighth, driving in Ceddanne Rafaela, Wilyer Abreu, and Masataka Yoshida to open a 5-0 lead for Boston. Durbin finished 3-for-5 with a career-high five RBIs and that homer was listed as his 12th of the season. Payton Tolle authored eight dominant innings, allowing two hits and no runs with four strikeouts and two walks while retiring the final 17 batters he faced. The Red Sox won 7-0, a result that snapped a five-game losing streak and moved Boston to 65-56 on the season. Reports noted this was Durbin's second grand slam this month, making him the first Red Sox with multiple grand slams in a single season since Rafael Devers did so in May 2025. Boston travels to Pittsburgh next, with Jake Bennett lined up to face Bubba Chandler tomorrow night.
