Paul Walter scored 80 off 46 balls in the men's Hundred Eliminator at The Oval, guiding Manchester Super Giants to a six-wicket win over Sunrisers Leeds and a place in the final at Lord's. Chasing 162, Manchester overhauled the target with eight balls to spare; Walter’s innings included nine fours and three sixes and came at a strike rate above 170. The innings anchored the chase after early wickets unsettled the Giants’ top order and decisively turned the match in Manchester’s favour. Walter is a 27-year-old left-handed all‑rounder for Essex County Cricket Club who made his Twenty20 debut for Essex on 24 June 2016 and appeared in the 2017 Royal London One‑Day Cup. The final is scheduled for Sunday at Lord's and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports at 6pm. The match marks Walter’s first appearance in a major final and follows a breakout performance through The Hundred that season.

Just seen an advert during last Friday's Coronation Street for The Hundred. Not for any specific game or broadcast, just a generic "Catch The Hundred this summer". Literally the most expensive ad slot on broadcasting and they booked it to air during the 66th match of a 68 match season.
