Opening Night Live showcases Final Fantasy VII Revelation and Silent Hill Townfall

At Gamescom's Opening Night Live, organizers premiered a new gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, unveiled a trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall that introduces a new character named Richard, and revealed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered. Square Enix's Revelation trailer spotlights reimagined Weapons and the new Summon Typhon, and shows open-world traversal tools including parachutes, grappling hooks, and Chocobo mounts, plus Cloud and Tifa wearing new Warrior and Black Mage FITS outfits. Square Enix confirmed Final Fantasy VII Revelation will launch in Spring 2027 for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox PC. The Final Fantasy VII franchise will mark its 30th anniversary in 2027 and the original title has sold over 15.7 million copies worldwide. The Silent Hill: Townfall trailer raises story questions about St. Amelia and the role of Richard in those secrets. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be offered as a free upgrade to all owners on September 29 and will include the game's first two expansions, with the Songs of the Past expansion scheduled for 2027.
