This is such a big part of it for me as a parent! Andy giving his toys to Bonnie when he goes to college is a neat way to continue the story. And we went to see Toy Story 5 in the cinema and found the narrative of children growing up and having their own children incredibly emotional.

I was a little worried tbh—I couldn’t find a showing of TOY STORY 5 to take the elder child to, maybe a month after release! Seems weird but I guess that’s the way things are now.

Toy Story 5 made another billion for Disney, Transformers and TMNT famously made more money with dolls...*ahem*....action figures than the cartoons ever did, and spawned massive movie franchises, and this guy is apparently writes about Money.

The MCU is stupid and very large now (and I do love it), but the outrage over this is incredibly stupid as well. I also would guess that you could say watching Toy Story 1-4 is "essential" to understanding Toy Story 5. Watching a franchise in order is also essential to understanding it.
