Spider-Man: Brand New Day tops box office for fifth weekend

For the fifth weekend in a row, Spider-Man: Brand New Day stayed at No. 1 with a $22.2 million weekend, a $37.7 million margin over the rest of the field. Sony Pictures Releasing’s superhero hit now has a $891.5 million cumulative total after five weekends. Ketchup Entertainment’s Coyote vs. Acme debuted in second with $15.5 million, while Universal’s The Odyssey held third with $14.3 million and a seven-week total of $563.8 million. Insidious: Out of the Further fell to fourth with $10.1 million and a two-week total of $43.6 million. The Dog Stars opened in fifth with $8.0 million. Three films that were in last weekend’s top ten, the 2026 re-release of The Fast and the Furious, Spa Weekend, and Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, dropped out of this weekend’s list.
