Pokémon World Championships 2027 set for Singapore

gamingAug 31, 202636886

The Pokémon World Championships will be held at Singapore Expo from August 13 to 15, 2027, with Championship Sunday staged at the Singapore Indoor, and that announcement has colored this moment. Across posts celebrating the just-concluded 2026 event, people are still poring over Takuma Yamazaki’s Dragonite-winning VGC finals and a last-minute Sneasler play that decided the match. After the closing ceremony, conversations picked up around tournament changes and spectacle, callouts to Mega Evolutions on stage, a new Pokémon movie tied to the TCG, and notes that Pokémon UNITE will be removed from Worlds, while creators who attended thanked The Pokémon Company International for bringing them out and competitors shared surprised personal results like a 40th-place TCG finish.

Amazing run this season you are an inspiration!!

Apcarnist / Zuroku1

Okay, I want to see that tournament report because you were a single win away from top 16. Like truly a "fundamentals matter" deck list too. Still, congrats!

I was surprised to see you in the standings as I thought you weren't going to worlds, but congratulations on the amazing result and a great season. Here's for a repeat in the '27 season!

Get in Katy. So happy for you 😊.

Sowah is cool, always love to see the deep cuts. Someday an athlete is gonna shoutout Corphish or Tropius and I will instantly buy their jersey, no matter what.

Takuma Yamazaki's finals team from the Pokémon World Championships! It's not fully done but most of the remaining work is in the background. Won't have time to work on the other team before the match but I'll look forward to working on it tomorrow! #playPokemon #pokemonVGC #pokemonWorlds #pokemonXP
