Danny Boyle's 'Ink' trailer debuts ahead of Venice, stars Guy Pearce
the trailer for Danny Boyle's Ink is out, and i sincerely love that Boyle is the kind of guy who goes, "What if a movie about Rupert Murdoch had some of the craziest shots you've ever seen in a movie?"
Saw it this morning. It's good. Has sort of a Scorsese "portrait of a scumbag" feeling. You get pulled along by the adrenaline rush of seeing people get away with stuff but eventually the hangover hits and it's brutal.
I love that he’s using the same camera technique for knocking over a glass that he did for shooting zombies in 28 Years Later.
My man knows his visual medium
i saw the original play of this script on broadway a few years back. absolutely godawful. at least the movie will be cool to look at
This look is like a real MOVIE, a vibe I don’t get at all from The Social Reckoning’s trailer
finally... after the Sorkin and Spielberg and the power-of-journalism-will-save-us yawning, I'm quite ready for a kickass movie about THE SUN.
throughly looking forward to watching this by myself because, yes, I'm a sucker for glossy-looking films about media why do you ask?
he 28 Years Later'd his historical docudrama! he used the iPhone rig thing!!!!
"Australian-born media mogul Rupert Murdoch is 'very happy' to see compatriot Guy Pearce play him in a new, largely sympathetic movie about his early business life, the actor has told the Venice Film Festival."
Yeah I don’t think Succession was a fun watch for him lol
The movie isn’t worth anyone time. The family is complete trash.
Is this a trick? It’s a trick isn’t it
Note to self: miss this flick.
I like to think Danny Boyle has more sense than to craft a truly positive portrayal of the man. Hopefully it's "sympathetic" in the way that a Charles Manson biopic might show how his early life primed him to become a monster without excusing his actions.
You could make a full length movie about his role in the Leveson inquiry and sudden memory loss
