Final Fantasy Resonance demo launches; FFVII Revelation dated April 8, 2027

gamingSep 3, 2026881,470

Final Fantasy Resonance dropped a surprise demo and sent players straight back into Rain's shadowy hometown Mitra, with posts zooming in on the demo's opening beats and the weight of its HD‑2D combat. At the same time Square Enix dated Final Fantasy VII Revelation for April 8, 2027 and director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed two story expansions that will spotlight Sephiroth and Vincent, which folded the two releases into a single moment of speculation about narrative tie‑ins. In the tag, attention split between concrete moments: people rave about Expert Mode teeth and an emotional main theme, while creators clipped Cid's goofy highwind face into a widely shared gif that captured the mood shift from awe to affectionate humor.

130 of God's own gigabytes, or 92,445 3.5" floppy disks. 💾

Nintendo should start contracting out a team to help other companies condense their games

Being a gamer these days is trying to be excited for these epic new releases and then lowkey being dragged down by strange decisions these companies are making... So... it's a game-key disc then 😞

Starlight6

Kingdom hearts 4 wont be on the disc either then huh

MSPNova5

Considering that Remake and Rebirth had install discs alongside the main one, this is a bit of a shame that the final entry won’t have one. With physical media slowly on the way out, guess this is the best we can get.

every day i'm glad i'm a fan of the original ff7 only and a hater of everything else ff7 related

poondonkus4

part 2 came with an install disc, now part 3 requires an install but it's only through online? sucks shit.

As much as I pine for physical media, if people thought that a game this (supposedly) massive was going to fit on one disc, I don't know what to tell them. Games are getting bigger and bigger, but storage space on Blu-rays doesn't appear to be following.

Mira Square-Enix... yo me cago eN TU PUTÍSIMA ESTAMPA. TE ARRANCARÍA LA PUTA CALAVERA PARA USARLA DE VÁTER HASTA QUE EL ÚLTIMO BLURAY DEL PLANETA SE DESINTEGRASE NO PODÍAS TERMINAR LA TRILOGÍA EN FÍSICO, NO, TENÍAS QUE HACER HASTA UN PUTO GAME KEY DISC PARA AHORRARTE CUATRO CÉNTIMOS EN DOS DISCOS
