Andy 'The Butcher' Williams dies aged 48

All of us at Mystery Wrestling are devastated to hear of the passing of Andy Williams, aka The Butcher.  An incredible professional wrestler, musician and an even better person. We would like to send our condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.

Tracy Root, the lovely wife of Brian "Blue Meanie" Heffron, posted a very nice tribute to Andy Williams on X, The Everything App.

The tributes being left for The Butcher Andy Williams are beautiful and it's a good reminder that we never know how long we are here, so we better be as good as we can to each other while we can.

I was hoping to wake up hearing that Andy had pulled a full recovery out of his pocket like the many assorted food items he used to keep there. Alas, it was not to be. The Butcher of Buffalo has moved on & we are all poorer for this loss. RIP Andy Williams, we miss you already. #AEW

When I started watching AEW I was like wait there’s a guy from Everytime I die AND there’s a guy who comes out to Amenra, then I found out about Gods Hate I was fascinated about the crossover of heavy music and wrestling. I didn’t listen to ETID but I remember seeing the flyers and t shirts around-

My feed has been nothing but people from both the punk and wrestling sides of my life sharing screenshots of Andy Williams encouraging them to keep doing the cool shit they're doing. It's clear he never shied away from telling people how much he loved and admired them. We should all do that more.

RIP Andy Williams. ETID was/is one of my favorite bands of all time. I was lucky enough to tour alongside them many times and being able to watch them nightly was a dream come true; I was terrified of Andy (he was HUGE!) but unsurprisingly one of the nicest guys ever.

Andy Williams, aka The Butcher, has passed away at age 48. A trailblazing musician with ETID and Atomic Rule, Williams made a successful transition into the world of professional wrestling and was incredibly respected by his peers both in and out of the ring.
