Luis Robert Jr. placed on 10-day injured list by Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles placed outfielder Luis Robert Jr. on the 10-day injured list with left hamstring discomfort, retroactive to September 5, the team announced. Robert was claimed off waivers by Baltimore last week and will be sidelined for at least a week and a half. The Orioles recalled Anthony Nunez to fill Robert’s roster spot. The move removes Robert from the outfield mix during a critical stretch of the schedule and gives Nunez a short-term opportunity at the major league level.
