Nintendo will hold a Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct on September 8 that will detail anniversary initiatives beyond video games and show a look at an Ocarina of Time remake. Nintendo's announcement says the presentation will include details on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as Nintendo Switch 2 software. One social post estimated the Zelda Direct will run about 30 minutes. The Direct follows a separate full Nintendo Direct scheduled for September 9, and creators have posted reaction and co-watching stream schedules timed to the September 8 presentation. Social speculation ahead of the Direct includes hopes for a movie trailer, ports and remakes, and changes to Ocarina of Time's art and cutscenes, but Nintendo's brief description confines confirmed content to anniversary initiatives beyond games and the OoT remake preview.
