Stephen Fuhr tapped to oversee Canada's defence procurement
Stephen Fuhr got his "Picasso" nickname back in his days as a fighter pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Ex-fighter pilot who has long been critical of U.S. jets could oversee dramatic increase in defence budget #Canada www.cbc.ca/news/politic...
This an interview with Rep Pat Ryan & Rep Pat Deluzio who are veterans and on the Armed Forces committee. They have F-35 issues as well & go into detail as to why its not a good fighter plane. It starts around the 14:30 mark in the interview. Can see why Fuhr hates it. youtu.be/P9Pa1j3bok8?...
"I'm not afraid to stand out on the hill by myself," he said. "It's just a principled place to be. And sometimes it's lonely, but that's just the way it is." I appreciate people like this. We need more of them.
First piece of business…cancel the F-35 contract.
My guess is the DOD pulled the USAF Thunderbirds before Hegseth made a thing out of it. What’s more interesting to me is the absence of the F-35. However poor the relations are between the US and Canada right now, Lockheed Martin’s got planes to sell.
I was surprised that Saab was not here. Maybe they view it as too on the nose.
I'd like to see the Saab Gripens that Ottawa is said to be considering.
I’m certain the mid-level brass at DOD that haven’t been purged by Hegseth are doing non-stop back-channeling with allies to contain the inter operational damage the Trump asshole cadre are causing.
