People studying for City & Guilds qualifications could be serious challengers to the Russel Group universities on University Challenge. The BBC would do it but they're scared of plumbers beating Oxbridge students on TV.

Spectrox Celery2I'm not sure specialists tend to beat generalists at quizzes. Arts students usually do well because they have a broad knowledge base. Engineers less so.
