Stevie Wonder announced a 50th anniversary tour celebrating his 1976 album Songs in the Key of Life and will perform the album in full, Live Nation said. Capital One Arena in Washington will host a concert on Monday, Nov. 23, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, the venue announced. U.S. stops listed by the announcement include New York on Nov. 19, Chicago on Nov. 21, Detroit on Dec. 8 and 9, and Inglewood, California, on Dec. 19. The NBC Washington report notes Live Nation is promoting the run and that the album earned Wonder one of his three Grammy Awards for Album of the Year. The announcement followed Wonder’s recent onstage appearance with the band Kez at D.C. JazzFest. Separate coverage and listings also show dates in Europe, including a Paris performance at Accor Arena and shows billed for Dublin and other U.K. and European arenas.
