Reform UK activists squabble over Nigel Farage’s £72m crypto donations plan

Nigel Farage says £72m given to Reform UK by crypto billionaires Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne will fund 400 campaign managers and a beefed up professional staff to target winnable constituencies. The donations are the largest received by a UK political party since declarations became required in 2001 and have prompted an ongoing row over whether they are legal. Some grassroots activists complained in a Facebook group that the party needs more volunteers to knock on doors rather than paid managers and questioned what will happen to branch members elected as campaign managers. Reform is already advertising more than 60 new roles, including four branch network coordinators, and is hiring 47 full-time campaign managers, a call centre manager, two local by-election managers and a councillor welfare manager to work with Reform’s 2,300 councillors. Creative posts being recruited include a graphic designer, a video editor focused on TikTok and junior and senior writers; applicants were asked to submit a 500-word letter in the persona of Reform home affairs spokesperson Zia Yusuf. The cash will also bolster the party’s policy apparatus and centralised operations, with party sources saying the first half of spending has been front loaded ahead of upcoming by-elections and next year’s local elections.

This should be the moment people finally realise that Farage has turned them into fascists. If you’re choosing this dangerous inhumanity over the rescue work of the RNLI, you’ve lost your minds to racism and hatred.

The RNLI rescued Luftwaffe pilots in WW2 because the organisation is there to 'save life at sea' - it's something to be immensely proud of. But as I've said many times before Farage and Co don't seem to have pride in Britain and its institutions beyond flags and crap Enoch Powell said 60 years ago.

This is where we are in 2026. Looks like my dad wasted years of his young life fighting fascists for nothing. I'm so tired of people still being taken in by this charlatan. It doesn't take much research to see him for what he is.

That should be the message across the media and all political parties, especially the government

There has been too many "should-be"-moments about Farage. I've given up on Brits getting their act together.

Farage, Reform, Restore & their mindless, rabid, racist supporters are truly scum, promoting fascist levels of inhumanity.

If the British media had anything about them, the headlines would be “Reform to make it illegal for lifeboats to save drowning people at sea.” But if the British media had anything about them, we’d still be on that sting that exposed Farage’s corruption rather than letting him set the news agenda.

We are a sick country that has been raised to believe the rest of the world jealously covets what we have. It's why Remain wasn't fit for purpose because it wasn't divorced from that thinking, it just wanted to be polite about it. We are where we are because the 2016 response wasn't progressive.
