Jezebel reports that Lindsey Isaacs, a 23-year-old Palm Beach resident, was arrested and held for 13 days after a Flock automated license plate reader sighting linked her vehicle to a fatal crash that killed three people. In October 2025 state troopers and a tow truck seized Isaacs' black Dodge Durango after Flock data placed her plate several miles from the collision around the time of the crash. Eyewitnesses described the suspect vehicle as a maroon Durango and Isaacs' vehicle showed no crash damage, but police still impounded her car and a warrant was issued on April 17, 2026, seven months later. Isaacs spent two weeks in maximum security jail, including 86 consecutive hours in solitary confinement, before authorities realized she was the wrong person. Isaacs has testified before Congress about the episode and the case has been cited as an example of how Flock ALPR data can drive wrongful arrests when officers do not verify physical evidence.
