All Elite Wrestling announced Sunday night that Benjamin Satterley, the 40-year-old British wrestler known as Pac, has died. News of his death came the day after he wrestled on AEW’s All Out pay-per-view at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois; AEW did not immediately provide a cause of death. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began training at 18, debuted in 2004 and built a globetrotting career that included WWE (as Adrian Neville), New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. In WWE he became NXT Champion, NXT Tag Team Champion and WWE Cruiserweight Champion; in AEW he won the All-Atlantic Championship in 2022 and later the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Satterley earned nicknames including “The Man That Gravity Forgot” for his high-flying style and “The Bastard” in AEW; signature moves included the Black Arrow and the Brutalizer. AEW’s announcement and public tributes have begun to appear while further details about his death remain pending.
