Packers sign veteran guard Kevin Zeitler to one-year deal

Veteran guard Kevin Zeitler agreed to a one-year contract with the Green Bay Packers, ESPN contributor Adam Schefter reported. Zeitler, a Waukesha native and former Wisconsin Badgers lineman, has played 14 NFL seasons. The signing arrives as the Packers continue to add experienced offensive linemen this week, joining recent additions Laken Tomlinson and Mekhi Becton. Green Bay says the move is intended to shore up a struggling offensive line ahead of the regular season. Pro Football Rumors first flagged the team's plan to sign Zeitler after his visit with the club.

I think this is generally true, but exceptions do exist. Kevin Zeitler and Taylor Decker weren't going to sign with just any team at this point in their careers. Both were plus blockers in 2025.
