Country singer Zach Bryan wore a black T-shirt reading "FREE PALESTINE" with a pine tree image and the slogan "AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN" while taking the stage for a sold-out show at Robert Kraft’s Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Friday night. Bryan, 30, performed the first night of a two-night run on the closing leg of his With Heaven on Tour, and several of his band members also wore Palestine-branded clothing; guitarist Noah Le Gros posted a photo of himself in a Palestine soccer jersey in front of Kraft Sports and Entertainment signage. The onstage display came about one month after Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran’s U.S. tour following an anti-Israel speech at MetLife Stadium and after stadium owners, led by Kraft, had pressured the tour over political remarks. Kraft and Ed Sheeran later discussed matching donations to Palestinian relief, with Kraft saying he committed $2 million to match Sheeran’s contribution. Bryan is scheduled to return to Gillette for the second show Saturday night.

1. Tonight at Gillette Stadium, Zach Bryan, one of the biggest country music artists in the world, wore a Free Palestine shirt onstage. Gillette Stadium is owned by Robert Kraft, who pushed Ed Sheeran and his promoter to drop Macklemore from his tour. Bryan isn’t just a major country artist.
