Apple announced a product launch titled "Welcome Home" set for Tuesday, October 13, with media invited to an Apple Experience in Tribeca, New York at 9:00 a.m. The company is expected to focus on new smart home hardware: a long‑rumored smart home hub, a refreshed Apple TV 4K, and an updated HomePod mini. The hub is described as a tablet‑meets‑speaker device with a rumored 6‑inch square display, a camera and presence sensor to recognize users and show a customized interface, and versions for wall mounting or a half‑dome speaker base; pricing could be around $350. The HomePod mini is said to gain new colors, an N1 networking chip for improved Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, and a faster S‑series chip to support Siri AI. The Apple TV 4K is expected to receive an A19 or A19 Pro chip, more RAM, the N1 chip, and an upgraded Siri Remote. Apple may also show an OLED iPad mini with improved water resistance and a faster chip, though timing and whether products debut at a live presentation or via press release remain unclear.
