Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels was immobilized and taken off the field on a stretcher late in the third quarter of the Week 6 game after a collision while attempting a tackle on Bears tight end Colston Loveland. Broadcasters and posts said Daniels appeared to hit his head, stayed down for several minutes while trainers cut his jersey and tended to him, and was fitted with a neck brace before being loaded onto a cart. The FOX broadcast and the Falcons reported Daniels was conscious and showed movement in his extremities. The play prompted a long stoppage as teammates and medical staff surrounded Daniels; fans gave applause as he was carted off. The Falcons said he was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for further evaluation, and there has been no official confirmation of the exact injury type or diagnosis.
