Todd Blanche says Ilhan Omar will be given right Trump was denied

politicsOct 21, 202617635

Attorney General Todd Blanche told Miranda Devine on Pod Force One that Rep. Ilhan Omar is being allowed to speak freely about the federal immigration fraud investigation into her, a liberty Blanche contrasted with the gag orders imposed on former President Donald Trump. Blanche noted he served as Trump’s personal lawyer when Trump faced four criminal indictments during the 2024 campaign and said the current Justice Department is not trying to keep Omar quiet. Former Special Counsel Jack Smith sought gag orders on Trump in the election interference and classified documents cases; judges imposed a gag in the election interference case but denied the request in the classified documents case. Blanche also pointed to gag orders on Trump during his civil fraud and Manhattan “hush money” trials while accusing Democrats of “gaslighting the American people” by claiming Trump is weaponizing the Department of Justice against Omar.
