Bird of the Day, theme 'LMNO'

Bird of the Day is a daily community prompt; today Rob set the theme LMNO, meaning any bird whose name begins with L, M, N, or O, with an alternate theme of Robins. Entries show field and garden photography focusing on small perching birds, waterfowl, raptors, and a few large or unexpected species. Notable images in the gallery include a Long-Tailed Tit puffed on a branch, a Mallard at Winkworth Arboretum by a lakeshore reflection, and a closeup Ostrich showing expressive eyes. Other examples include Little Egrets in flight, Nuthatches in woodland settings, and American Robins captured on the wing or on lawns.
