Halloween season countdown, creators and events promote spooky releases and sales

Creators, venues and indie developers are rolling out Halloween-themed releases, events and discounts ahead of October 31. The Instrustellar Show released Season 4 Episode 36, a Halloween Special by Raisin' Cain, while Inside Croydon and local listings promote a Day Of The Dead Supper Club at SNCK in South Norwood on November 3. Sony published a list of nine recommended indie horror titles for PS5 to play over Halloween. Independent authors and musicians are running seasonal sales and releases, including a 25% off Harlow Mystery series sale on Itch.io from October 25 to November 1 and a bandcamp Halloween coupon for 20 releases at 70% off. Gaming communities are staging in-game Halloween gatherings, for example two Final Fantasy XIV events on the Rafflesia NA server on October 31 and Starpatch is hosting seven days of giveaways offering eight Steam games from October 25, 31. Audio drama curators and retro gamers are also marking the season with 31 Days of Horror listings and nightly retro-game posts leading up to Halloween.
