Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0 at Anfield, Iraola's first home league win

Brighton are the best team Liverpool have played this season and it’s not even close. So that’s an excellent three points. Brighton had the first big chance of the game but that was their lot on that front. Eight wins in the last 10 in all comps. Up the Reds.

It felt like we might witness a statement performance when Liverpool raced into a 2-0 lead, but thought that was still impressively mature. Brighton have scored goals for fun of late, but struggled to create clear-cut opportunities here despite chasing the game for 70 minutes.

No Manchester clubs in the top flight next year might solve some refereeing issues 🤣🤣🤣. #LFC

I thought that Araujo was MOTM today. Quality on everything he did. If there is ever such a thing as an #LFC player, it's him. Tough and committed. It feels like he's where he's supposed to be. #Redsky

Malick Yalcouyé is the oldest looking 20 year old I've seen for a while! Talk about a tough paper round! 🤣🤣 #lfc

Getting Ronald Araujo on loan without a fee was sensational business, wasn’t it?? 🇺🇾🧉✨ #LFC #Liverpool #Redsky

Never fall in love with a loan player, they say. For many, it's too late where Ronald Araujo is concerned. A player whose given this talented yet brittle squad the edge it's lacked for too long. Verdict from Anfield as the high-flying Seagulls are clipped. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/footba...

Seen many decrying the tv announcers, here's my hack to use #LFC audio: Audio can run ~45 seconds ahead. Listen for a clear moment like "pass back to Alisson" or a ball out, pause the audio & watch the TV until that moment happens on screen. Then hit play, & you should stay in sync from there. YNWA

Another Araujosing Anfield occasion. Probably the best result for Iraola to date and a number of players got into the groove today. But a couple were ahead of the rest for #LFC. Ratings from a windy Anfield 👇🔴 www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/footba...

I’m also glad we seemed to have gotten rid of the Invasion of the Bodysnatchers pod being that was pretending to be Alexis Macallister last season. He’s been back to his best this season so far and we are so much the better for it #LFC #YNWA

🚨 Isak, Barcola and Wirtz delivering as Liverpool beat Brighton at home! Four wins in a row for the Reds. 🔴 Who’s been your Man of the Match?

I love that Iraola has absolutely no problem using the youths at any juncture. This is so important in attracting young talent from around the globe. If you're good enough the coach will put you in, just like Jurgen did. #lfc

Good game against a good footballing side. Great to keep a clean sheet too. 😁😅 Wirtz played well. Gakpo tried everything, but it wasn't his day. Araujo - magnificent. MOTM. #LFC #YNWA 3 points delivered. 👏👏👏🎉

Big result this afternoon. Very differing halves for the Reds, however, dug in to show some defensive solidarity and get the clean sheet over the line. Thought Araujo was sensational, heart on his sleeve with everything he does. Wirtz, for me, was wonderful today too. #LFC
