Ken Paxton’s state‑funded jet trips draw campaign scrutiny

politicsOct 27, 2026154,224

The New York Times reports Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has taken roughly 350 out-of-state trips since he was sworn in as attorney general, including about 25 trips to foreign countries, using a state-funded security detail. Security and travel costs tied to those trips have topped about $3.1 million, and the disclosures have prompted scrutiny over whether Paxton’s official travel is being used to support his Republican campaign for U.S. Senate. Paxton has been campaigning across Texas alongside Donald Trump at recent rallies as he seeks to defend the seat against Democrat James Talarico. The travel reporting has become a focal point for critics who say taxpayer-funded jet-setting and heavy security raise questions about campaign benefit; reporters and opponents are pointing to the Times analysis as the basis for that scrutiny.

Trump laments animals being fried to death on solar panels, gushes once again about Jon Husted's ass (but disses Ken Paxton's), and brags about "making an absolute fortune" off the Iran War during an uninhibited even by his standards rally in Lubbock Supercut:

Shows you how cheaply Ken Paxton could be bought compared to Abbott. His bribe was a kitchen remodel for his girlfriend.
