Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, known as Tommy Robinson, was found guilty on two counts of harassment at Southwark Crown Court for targeting Daily Mail journalists Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber, conduct a jury concluded caused them to fear violence. The trial heard Robinson shared pictures of a journalist's family online, said he had “tagged and bagged” reporters, and phoned Young on 5 August 2024 saying “I’m coming to get you.” Dirnhuber and his partner left their home and Young and his family were provided with a close protection officer after an alleged campaign of intimidation; a third Daily Mail journalist, George Odling, said he and his family also had to leave their home. The jury deliberated for two days and returned majority guilty verdicts after a judge directed they could do so; journalists were escorted from court after one of Robinson’s supporters threatened them. Robinson told the court his legal bills were being paid by Elon Musk, and the judge said he would consider all sentencing options; Robinson faces up to 10 years in prison and will be sentenced in December.

Bad day for the far right and that includes Elon Musk who threw £400,000 in the pot for his defence team... and every single politician and pundit who has excused Tommy Robinson or sought to portray him as anything other than the grifting thug he is.
