The Celebrity Traitors UK season 2 winners donate prize to refugee charities

tvOct 30, 2026732,774

Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft won the Season 2 finale of the U.K. edition of The Celebrity Traitors, the episode now streaming on BBC iPlayer. Both winners pledged their prize money to refugee causes, naming Choose Love and the Refugee Council as their chosen organisations. Posts about the finale reported the pair each gave £41,500 to charity and described the decision as a feel-good ending to an unexpected finish. Commentary in sample posts praised the donation as heartwarming while a smaller number of posts said the choice annoyed some viewers. The outcome meant the series closed with its winnings directed to organisations supporting refugees and displaced people rather than to the contestants.

What a fantastic message that the two winners gave their money to refugee and displaced people causes. And what a great and heart warming show #CelebrityTraitors

It was lovely that in the most crucial conversation in the episode, Ramesh listened and went with Bash’s rationale. Says great things about both of them. It was my quiet highlight of this series.

My husband and I were so pleased it went to such a wonderful causes. Well done Bash & Romesh ❤️

I went on X to witness the meltdown. And first up Julia Hartley-Brewer. She did not disappoint!

LeifH11

Agreed, great causes - but one thing that irks is they're playing for such pitiful amounts compared with what I expect they were all being paid.

redranger27.bsky.social10

Oh they’ll be the mother of all hissy fits on Jeremy Vine, by the right wing gobshite they have on 😂😂😂

Chris Kendall10

Their choice of charity causes makes up for a great deal but on balance it was a bit of a shitshow by both Faithful and Traitors!

We're beside ourselves with delight and cheering at the top of our voices to celebrate our Patron, Romesh Ranganathan winning BBC Celebrity Traitors. We've followed every minute and every laugh that Romesh has created in the Traitor's Castle, and we're so proud of the game he played.

We're delighted that Romesh chose Refugee Council, the nation's refugee charity, as his nominated choice. Our work supports refugees to rebuild their lives in Britain. We're here come rain or shine, helping refugees rebuild and thrive.

Great result. Two excellent causes chosen.

Yay! Now Charlie show your dad some respect. And give him a big hug!

And wonderful to see others celebrating this too.

It’s great. And one of them is for queer refugees. Gammon will be exploding.

James Murgatroyd7

So many people are going to be upset and they are all the people I want to be upset. 👍🏻

I'm sure that's gone down a treat on X

Huge congratulations to Homepage - Choose Love share.google/jH0rYEgbv2iX... Home - Refugee Council share.google/9I63ZLr7aI1J... But, lets face it, compared to the celebs' fees and the money BBC are making, it's not a lot of money. Shall we see.if we can double it?

Andy Shearing1

This makes me happy, thanks Moose.

And, as well as the money, the refugee charities getting publicity on a prime BBC1 show. And supporting refugees being normalized, seen as a thing people do. Thank you, Romesh and Bash.

I think they should do a Not Quite Celebrity Traitors where it's a horrible mix of like very online journalists and also small-time influencers and everyone's essentially a sociopath

All celeb spinoff shows should be this imo

Bash and Romesh's choice of charities as winners has really annoyed some people. Oh dear. Anyway. If you'd like to donate to either of them: Choose Love - chooselove.org Refugee Council - refugeecouncil.org.uk #CelebrityTraitors

It has been difficult watching how demonised those supporting people seeking safety have become. To see all the winnings from #celebritytraitors supporting refugees is amazing. Please throw your support behind the "faithfuls" and help where you can👇 www.gofundme.com/f/migrant-vo...

Maybe I’m getting soft but there was only one celebrity on the Traitors this season that I didn’t like. My family have made up for it with thinly justified grudges against people who are basically fine

I would have loved Jerry, Romesh and Rob to have made it as the last 3 as they had me in hysterics. Loved the ending though, although I thought this was a Traitors game…. I had a little blub watching Romesh’s reaction at the end. Maybe, the first Traitors spin off/ sitcom 🤔

Chad Clifton4

My boy Rom was amazing, anything else is a double win

Chris Shaw2

Assume it's Amol. Maya wasn't great imo. The rest were fine. Romesh was a revelation!

Sheila the Thief1

I didn't dislike anyone. The biggest problem I had was with Joanne's neon nails

Says something about the state of the nation that we have to celebrate refugee charities benefitting from Romesh and Bash’s victory in the #celebritytraitors. But I am fucking rejoicing. And also relishing the discomfort of bigots and racists and fascists the length and breadth of the land.

Loved that the #celebritytraitors winnings went to organisations supporting refugees and displaced people. BBC couldn’t edit that out 😂

Small Robots

@smolrobots.bsky.social

Well I liked Celebrity Traitors a lot because it was full of lots of people I'm a fan of playing a silly parlour game in an overly melodramatic way that sparks intrigue, and that's basically all I ask for in a TV show.
